The Challenges

Carpentry Calculations: Carpenters are known to use their terms and do calculations based on Carpentry world terms. It was important to make sure that we understand everything from the lens of a Carpenter before proceeding to develop this application.

Imperial & Decimal Conundrum: The client wanted to use both the Imperial and Metric Systems so a conversion system as to be added.

Custom Input fields specific for Carpentry Field: In this app we added options where customers could add custom units like 50 in, 10 4/2

The Process

Project Scoping: We kicked of the project by Scoping out the entire project. We understood the client’s requirements and figured out the key challenges that we are going to encounter during the development of this app.

Design: The client wanted a basic but functional UI. So we collaborated with client to understand the vision and directly delved into coding with emphasis on the functional UI with minimalist design.

DevOps & Project Setup: We prepared a robust architecture for project deployment using GIT.

Mobile Apps: We started with iOS first and iOS was the major priority and client wanted to test the market as well.

Project Updates: We set a weekly project briefing with the client so that he knows how things are progressing.

Results

Within 2 months of continuous hard work, the project was delivered to the client and the apps were launched on both app stores. Our client loved the look and feel of the app.
