Valk.bike is your cycling companion app, seamlessly connecting your hotel experience with tailor-made, picturesque cycling routes in the vicinity of your accommodation. You can embark on cycling excursions right near your stay, immersing yourself in the local charm and beauty.

Beyond guiding your ride, our app offers valuable insights about the route, providing you with a deeper understanding of the surrounding area. Challenges

Real-Time Navigation on a Selected Route: Valk.bike required real-time navigation of Cycle Routes using Google Maps API.
An easy-to-use Backend to Create Cycle Routes: It was also required to have a Backend where our client can easily add and remove new cycle routes
Exceptional UI: Since this app was focused on premium customers, the design was the client’s biggest priority.
Extra Features over Navigation: The client also wanted to add custom features like displaying
informational videos when a user reaches a certain location.

The Process

Project Scoping: We kicked of the project by Scoping out the entire project. We understood the client’s requirements and broke down them into functional modules & and sub-modules. We prepared a detailed RFP document with the client so that no stone is left unturned
Design Approvals: Since the design was a key requirement, we collaborated with the client and translated their vision into Figma Files. This helped both us & client to visualize the user flow and set the design language that the client was happy with.
DevOps & Project Setup: We prepared a robust architecture for project deployment on AWS using GIT with CI/CD Pipelines.We built their Backend in Laravel as there wasn’t anything client-facing and Laravel is one of the best frameworks for Backend.
Mobile Apps: Along with Backend, we simultaneously started on Mobile App Development as well so that we can reduce the Development time.
Project Updates: We set a weekly project briefing with the client so that he knows how things are progressing.

Results

After 6 months of continuous hard work, the project was delivered to the client and the apps were launched on both app stores. Our client loved the look and feel of the app.
